Ghosts/Haunts/EVP Classes
Types of Ghosts
Residual: Residual energy repeating a certain event or action.
Apparition: Takes Human Form of their previous life. They are trapped souls coming back to live life again.
Mists or Vortex: These are smoke or mist like energy of a spirit trying to manifest. The Vortex takes a funnel shape and is in the process of going elsewhere.
Shadow People: These ghosts are typically dark shadows and one of the most common seen.
Poltergeists: Are malicious and can be abusive. They tend to attach or go after a particular person.
Orbs: Are circular objects, potential spirits or lost energy. These are also one of the most common reported sightings. Although most orbs can be ruled out by bugs, dust, and light reflections. A true orb will have an almost round shape, free floating, and make its own light.
Types of Haunts
Residual: As humans it is important to remember that we are made up of energy, electrical energy. This runs the heart, sends impulses to and from the brain. When someone dies suddenly that energy is released and goes into the atmosphere. Sometimes trapped in a certain place, when released slower it may leave a weaker impression. This is the reason we may hear or see certain things, typically repetitive in nature. There should be no side effects of these hauntings and pose no fear to humans. The best way to describe this occurrence is a like a movie playing over and over again.
Intellectual: These entities are just like which they are named. They are aware of you and the place you're at. They can move around and have limited communications abilities. These entities typically reveal themselves at night, but they can happen at any time of the day. You may see or hear things moving, voices, and footsteps. This is the most occurring haunting. Though very rarely are the spirits malicious, these are what frighten people.
Poltergeist: Carry some of the same characteristics of the intellectual except that the noises, voices and objects are typically more prevalent. The most important thing is that one person is typically the focal point of the spirits; they are trying to communicate with or harm. This helps classify this type of haunting.
Demonic: Are typically easy to spot. There will be a rotten stench in the air and or possibly sulfuric acid. These demons are not afraid to show their presence. You will hear grows, be pushed, hit and possibly scratched. The air in the area where the demon is present will be thick.
Classes of EVP
Class A - This type of EVP is loud, clear and of very high quality. The voice is easily understandable and does not need enhancement or amplification. Class A EVP's are also often (but not always) in direct response to a question being asked.
Class B - This is the most common type of EVP. This type of EVP is of somewhat lower quality and clarity than a Class A EVP but still very audible. Class B EVP's often do need some amount of enhancement or amplification to be heard clearer. The voice may not be clear enough to be totally understood or there may be disagreement as to what it is saying. Class B EVP's are often not in direct response to a question.
Class C - This is the lowest quality EVP. With a Class C EVP even the best enhancement and amplification may not be sufficient to make the voice audible or clear. There may even be debate whether or not an EVP is actually present.
